MA Moving Cultures - Transcultural Encounters

Description:
The quadrilingual master's degree course Moving Cultures – Transcultural Encounters / Cultures en Mouvement / Culturas en Movimiento – Encuentros Transculturales / Culture in Movimento – Incontri Transculturali (MCTE) is a cultural studies based course with an interdisciplinary approach and a focus on modern philology. In analysing of the literary, linguistic and social interrelation of cultures students can mainly choose from two major fields of study:

• English Studies
• Romance Studies

Languages, literature, media and cultures as well as their transcultural dimensions are analysed with regard to the themes of migration and contact. The transcultural change in history is explored in geographical and historical contexts and examined through words, images, sounds as well as other sorts of media.

NEW: CREDIT REGISTRATION FROM SUMMER TERM 2026 THROUGH GOETHE CAMPUS

From now on the registration process for all credits (TN, LN and MP) has to be done via the exam administration system Goethe Campus.

So, you should log into your account at Goethe Campus as soon as possible as there is a deadline to register for TN (participation), which is Friday, July 3^rd!!!

Course registration (which is completed for this semester) will still be done via QIS/LSF for the time being, meaning also the upcoming semesters.
