Read the Room: Environmental Humanities Slow Reading Group | Winter Term 2025/26

This Reading Group is open to all researchers (specifically Master's students, PhDs, and Postdocs) interested in the burgeoning field of the Environmental Humanities. We will meet online fortnightly during the winter term (please see dates below), and venture into reading a text that has already become a classic of the Environmental Humanities:

Orientation for American Studies and English Studies for the Winter Semester 2025/26

First-year students can find out everything about studying at the Institue of English and American Studies (IEAS) at the orientation just before the semester starts. Orientation provides an overview of the study programme and the most important study affairs.

IEAS End of Term Party Summer Semester 2025

All IEAS students are invited to our yearly End of Term Party!


Each year we toast to our BA, MA and TEFL graduates. This year, following the official graduation ceremony, we want to celebrate the end of summer term with all our IEAS students. You are welcome to bring up to two guests. There will be a cash bar, music, dancing, and some fun games.
